Hi, I’m Michelle.

Life can feel like an uphill battle, and you might be looking for a safe place to sort through it all and rest. Maybe you feel stuck, like you’ve been facing the same challenges over and over, and you’re tired of things being the same no matter what you do. Sometimes it feels like you just can’t escape the past. You may be wondering if something is wrong with you or if you’re enough. Maybe you’re a parent who’s tried so many things to help your child with big feelings and behaviors without lasting success, and you’re left feeling inadequate. You just want your child to have healthy friendships, know they’re loved and feel like you’re there for them. Whether you’re an individual looking to become your best self or a parent looking for a way to help your child and family succeed, you’re in the right place.

My goal as your therapist is to gently come alongside you in your walk towards inner peace and self-acceptance. I work to create a space where you can feel comfortable enough to face the messy things of life and know you are not alone. You are worthy of help and healing, no matter how big or small you feel like your challenges are. Together, we will discover your strengths and how they are your most valuable resource in healing.

Michelle Hooks, LCSW

She/Her

I graduated with my master’s in social work from Campbellsville University. I work with children, families and individuals with various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, dissociative tendencies, children’s attachment and emotion regulation concerns, challenging family dynamics and trauma recovery.

I believe healthy, trusting relationships are foundational to healing and growth. As your therapist, you can expect me to collaborate with you in your healing. You are the expert on you, and I will offer my strengths and expertise as a resource for you to use as needed.

In its most trying moments, parenting can bring out the worst in the best of people, but your commitment to your child remains the same. Your love for them is constant, even when they may be difficult to like. My goal is to help you offer support and a secure relationship to your child, and together, we will help your child be able to receive your support and feel more confident communicating their needs.
