A day in the life of an intern...

...may look like completing thorough assessments and providing treatment to children, teens, and adults in individual, couple, or family therapy. Interns may also co-facilitate psychoeducational, therapy, and/or support groups.

Champaign Counseling seeks to work with students who are committed to working with and are interested in developing an expertise with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma and/or depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. Applicants who have previous experience working with children and families and have knowledge of trauma treatment are preferred.

We seek candidates who are eager to learn and show grit and passion for the mental health field. Prospective interns must be in a graduate degree program in the mental health counseling field, such as MSW, LPC or other related programs.
