Therapy Can Help You Feel Better About Your Past Experiences!

Our Champaign Counseling therapists help you heal depression, anxiety and stress due to traumatic events...

Experiencing trauma can make you feel like your world is spinning out of control.

You might feel numb and then switch to anger or sadness over situations that you used to be able to easily handle.

You feel heavy from having to carry around the memories of the traumatic event.

Your life may have lost its meaning.

It’s possible that you’ve had a difficult or traumatic childhood that has led to your depression or anxious feelings. Maybe you’ve always struggled.

On the other hand, you might be someone who experienced a specific traumatic event that sent you spiraling downhill into the dark pit that you find yourself in now.

You’re ready to feel in control of your life again.  You want to feel safe and experience calm again.

What is a traumatic experience?

A traumatic event is any experience which is associated with strong negative emotions. Trauma impacts people in all different ways. Traumatic experiences aren't always extreme events. They can be small things that happen over and over until you find yourself avoiding thoughts about the trauma, going out of your way to prevent re-experiencing it, or you can't stop thinking about what happened.
