It can be difficult to manage the many parts of a family unit
A hierarchy of care and need exist within the family unit. In order for each person to be successful in their role, they must feel a sense of love and a secure attachment within the family.
Change occurs naturally as family members grow within their family unit. Consequently, this puts stress on the family unit. This is often why adolescence can be a challenging time for families. I believe in creating an open environment for encouraging both communication and the acceptance of needed privacy.
Through therapy, I help people find a purpose and learn skills to communicate effectively with family. My goal is to strengthen an individual's confidence while enhancing the family bond. As a result, there is stability for children and needed support for every member of the family.
I have worked in many settings throughout my career. One observation I have made over and over is the need to expect the unexpected. Human behavior is predictably unpredictable. People never stop surprising me. I am often in awe of their strength and ability to overcome challenges.
We will work together to help you learn to define key stressors in your life and set goals for healthy and achievable coping skills. I provide solutions focused and family systems therapy. This means we will improve communication, identify strategies to solve family problems, and create a better functioning home environment.
It is easy to get stuck in the overwhelming cycles of life. The stress can drag you down. You deserve to feel the joy in life as well. Together we can work at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Being a part of a person's change process is a truly rewarding experience. I look forward to working with you to find your peace from within. Give me a call today to set up an appointment at (217) 203-2008.
