Hi, I'm Lydia.

Have you ever struggled thinking you are “not enough” or grappled to understand why you do the things you do? I know I have. Thoughts such as these have manifested emotions that only led to confusion and conflict. However, throughout the different seasons in life and my own personal journey I have come to realize that a place of vulnerability can also be a place of strength and transformation bringing about acceptance, healing and self-awareness.

Whether through significant events or transitions, the undercurrents of life are hard and having a compassionate listening ear can be an effective tool to help navigate those terrains. In therapy, I seek to provide an environment that is safe, trusting, reflecting warmth and empathy where all are welcome. Process oriented, we work collaboratively to determine the best course with the client being the optimal determinant of treatment. I work with a variety of populations ranging from early adolescent, teens, emerging adults and adults. I would be privileged to walk alongside you on your journey.

I am a wife and mother of 4, my work and studies have crossed me from New York, Pennsylvania and ultimately to Champaign. With a first master’s in Christian Counseling, I am pursuing a second master’s from Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and seeking licensure with the State of Illinois.

My practice is holistic embracing mind, body and spirit. I integrate tenets of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory, Multicultural Counseling and Christian Counseling framework upon request. My work is client-centered and strength-based. I am an encourager and I would love to help you on your journey toward healing, growth and acceptance.

Lydia practices at the Savoy location.
