Hi, I'm DeAnn.

Hi there! I am so glad you are here.

I once had a professor who said, “Clients should feel like sitting in a rocking chair on a front porch, sipping tea while talking to an old friend." By that she meant that clients should feel comfortable speaking to their therapist about uncomfortable topics. That is the experience I strive to provide for my clients. No matter the age, we all have most likely experienced some sort of trauma. Sometimes we dismiss our experiences after comparing ourselves to others, but we are doing ourselves a disservice. Everyone’s story deserves to be heard.

I work with preteens, teens, and adults in every stage of life, with varying issues, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, relationship issues and substance use. I also work with couples. I am a LGBTQIA ally.

Let’s work together to overcome any challenges life has given you. Call me to set up an appointment at 217-203-2008. I offer daytime, evening, and Saturday appointments.

Do you wonder if you will ever overcome life’s challenges?

I graduated with my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2016 and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Helping others is what I do best. Throughout my career, I have always served in a role where I can help others. After facing some unique life experiences of my own, I decided to go back to school with the goal of serving in a career where I could provide the same support to others that I received when I needed it most.

I love working with others to overcome their life challenges and reach their full potential. I appreciate that clients have trusted me to share their experiences. Each client’s story has demonstrated how resilient we can be. I love using the skills I have learned to help others who may be stuck in patterns that are not helpful.

I am a dog mom, I enjoy the outdoors, spending times with friends and family and I like to learn new things.
