Hi, I'm Cherie.

I have a passion for helping individuals realize their strengths, become empowered to live in the present, and achieve their desired goals. Sometimes, the challenges we face can seem
insurmountable. You might be experiencing major depression and are struggling to maintain your day-to- day activities, feeling disconnected or anxious. Maybe you are struggling with conflict in your relationships, questioning your identity or facing a major life transition.

Whether your challenge is big or small, therapy can help. I want to collaborate with you and help you process and identify personal goals and provide evidenced based tools and
treatment for lasting change. My office is a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental atmosphere that is supportive of all people.

Therapy Focuses on Building a Secure and Trusting Relationship

I am a licensed social worker with a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I have experience with a variety of populations and
cultures, from young children to older adults, and I have spent time doing international social work in Greece and Ukraine.

For the last two years, I have worked in a hospital setting on an acute inpatient behavioral health unit. While at the hospital, I provided individual, group and family therapy to children and
adolescents. I worked with people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, gender dysphoria, and adjustment disorders. I also have experience working with unaccompanied minors and those experiencing homelessness in the Champaign area.

I primarily practice using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, mindfulness and DBT.

I’m excited to begin working with you on your journey towards healing and peace from within. Interested in scheduling an appointment with me? Please give us a call at 217-203-2008.
