Hi, I'm Amber

I am a student counselor from Lincoln Christian University.  I'm working toward my master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My practicum experience was spent co-leading group therapy to allow clients to grow in their interpersonal skills while exploring their mental health concerns.

My interests are in individual and couples therapy with adults going through depression, anxiety, spirituality issues, or life transitions ranging from young adulthood to seniors.

It's possible to feel excitement about the future at any life stage

I believe we all have a need to feel connected.

Life happens, circumstances shift, and changes occur.

We are all imperfect humans attempting to live together.  As people we may not have the same values... and that is OKAY!

You are not defined by a mental illness or the trauma you have experienced. These may be part of your story.  But that's just it - they are part of your story, not your whole story.  The gift of therapy allows you to process through your emotions, relationships and life circumstances.

Having a place to just talk about your feelings and be emotionally safe can make a world of a difference. We will put our heads together to allow you to work through your experiences, develop new ways to cope when everything in life feels overwhelming, and help you feel less alone.  Our sessions will also focus on coming up with and supporting you with real-life goals that you feel like are possible to achieve.

I am able to bill Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna insurance.  I also offer reduced rate sessions for clients without insurance or those who choose not to use their insurance.

In therapy, I am given the privilege to walk beside you through your journey to peace from within.  Give me a call today to set up an appointment at (217) 203-2008.
